For the benifit of all you musicians...
- All door money must be picked up within 7 days,
or will be considered a donation to The Empress staff booze-up.
They do like a drink
- Be aware that many municipalities are fining artists who
put posters up around their streets ie: Port Philip (St. Kilda).
Check with councils first as, although The Empress doesn't
agree with it, we take no responsibility for fines incurred.
- There is no band room so all instruments should be removed
from stage at the end of the night & the stage left how
you found it. By that time of night the staff want to drink
not clean up stage mess.

- The Empress PA system
is designed for live music acts, we do not have the facilities
to record, and as such would you please ensure that your mixer
is aware of this and is not to tamper with the back of the
mixing desk, and that at the end of the night the PA is how
you found it. Due to current council vigilance, acts playing at the venue will need to adhere to the following noise restrictions. Sunday to Thursday, 90db max and Friday and Saturday 95db max.
- Don't give the dinner crowd a free show soundcheck between
4:00 and 6:00.
-Tuesday nights are open mic nights, if you wish to participate,
then just rock on in on the night. From 8.00pm the delightful
Matt will be taking registrations.
